2019 Trauma and Attachment Symposium
The Art & Science of Trauma Informed Care
May 2nd & 3rd, 2019
In recent years, there has been an explosion in the research and knowledge of how traumatic experience and toxic stress shape the nervous system and ultimately the ability to become self-aware, to self-regulate, relate with others, play, and learn. Additionally, the growing awareness of how trauma impacts developing brains and bodies, and specifically the impact on neurophysiology, has ushered the realization that body-based approaches are an integral component of trauma informed approaches. With this awareness, comes the growing urgency for interdisciplinary approaches to research, care planning and implementation targeting both the art and the science of trauma informed approaches.
Cutchins Care proudly presents its second annual 2-day symposium event, bringing experts in the areas of neuroscience, research, and practice to Western Massachusetts. Join us as we assemble internationally renowned, interdisciplinary professionals exploring the prevailing, best and promising research and practices for working with people with trauma and attachment-related needs and goals.
This year’s keynote presenters will be:
